About
Ligneous Designs is a high-end furniture design manufacturing company specialising in the production and installation of bespoke furniture and architectural joinery. All production takes place in our specialist workshop in Surrey where a team of highly skilled craftsmen and fitters translate your designs into reality.
We have extensive experience working with architects, interior designers, building contractors and property developers. Our goal is to ensure that any project we undertake runs as smoothly as possible. Maintaining regular dialogue with all the professionals involved in a project is key to our success. We provide our clients with regular updates on how a project is progressing and endeavour to minimise the disruption whilst installation takes place. Ultimately, our greatest emphasis is on accommodating our client’s needs and ensuring superior results.
In addition to design and manufacturing we offer clients a highly efficient project management service. We have experience of managing a range of projects from one-off bespoke pieces of handcrafted furniture, to larger schemes that incorporate many diverse elements, such as kitchen cabinetry and worktops, fitted wardrobes, handcrafted beds, doors, windows and staircases.
Ligneous Designs continue to gain work by recommendation through a strong reputation for client satisfaction. All our work is finished to the highest specification and we provide a full aftercare service.
Process
Consultation
The initial consultation is an opportunity to gain an understanding of the client’s exact requirements and to discuss the proposed project in more detail.
Design
Once the brief has been taken, Ligneous Designs offers clients a complete drawing service – from concept through to design. Only when we are completely satisfied will we present these designs for final approval, after which production can commence.
Production
All production takes place at our workshop in Surrey. We have a team of highly accomplished craftsmen dedicated to creating furniture and cabinetry to the highest specification. Our workshop is fully equipped with the latest machinery and spraying facilities for producing first-class joinery. We work with a wide range of materials and have much experience with metal, glass, all types of leathers and lighting. We also ensure the highest quality by producing all our own finishes in-house and on-site.
Installation
We recommend preparation of the site prior to assembly of furniture. All building works, tiling, plumbing and pre-wiring should ideally be completed before delivery to minimise the risk of damage during installation of the finished joinery.
At the appropriate stage of manufacture furniture and cabinetry is transferred to site so that assembly and installation can commence. We take the greatest care to ensure items are fully protected during transportation, delivery and installation.
We use highly skilled furniture installation specialists who complete the work with as little disturbance as possible. When finished, every fine detail of our furniture is thoroughly checked before we present it to our clients as complete.
Project Management
We provide a highly efficient project management service, which has been fine-tuned over a number of years. We have experience of managing all types of projects ranging from single one-off pieces, to large projects that incorporate many diverse elements, such as kitchen cabinetry and worktops, fitted wardrobes and cinema rooms, windows, doors and staircases.
Through experience we have found that maintaining regular and clear communication with all the professionals involved in a project, from architects and designers to build contractors is key to a successful outcome.
